iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 and iTunes 8.2 pre-release

news from www.product-reviews.net

Some obvious changes like:

"Thanks to some of Engadget’s readers, they have been testing beta 4 and the first thing that they wanted to try out was the previously empty “Store” settings pane. In this new version of the OS, it is now populated, but do not get too excited as is pretty boring. All you can do is sign in and out of iTunes. That is about it on the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 side of things, keep checking back.

When you first start up the iTunes 8.2 pre-release you are now warned that the app would verify that your phone had been activated using the beta firmware, that did not happen on the previous version."

Should keep checking deeper changes.

Problem after Warcraft III: Frozen Throne upgraded

I met the problem that Frozen Throne could not run after I upgraded it with latest package from Blizzard.

I googled out the problem is due to I formatted disk drive with Mac OS Extended(Case-sensitive), (journaled does not matter.) And the guy said no way could fix this problem unless FORMAT my disk drive with case-insensitive format.

That's really not an acceptable idea. I'm considering that since it's due to case problem, may I rename some files? The Frozen Throne application calls the Warcraft III file, so I tried to create an alias for Warcraft III, named warcraft iii, praying, and clicked Frozen Throne... Well, it's back! hooray~

Start from this shot

Let me start from this shot, gratifying
[Screen shot of desktop]

It was really an annoying piece of memory, I had tried more than 30 times formatting and installing OSX Leopard on my desktop.

The first times, I can not finish installation, because of the media. I got 10.5.6 copy from friend in a recordable DVD, and my driver could not read it very fluently. I spent two nights trying to install it. The dvd passed media check, but installer just can not tell how long it would take to finish. Another attempt I used 10.5.4, and I could install it and enter desktop. I configured Ethernet driver and sound card driver manually, but always failed graphic adapter driver. I gave up after several attempts. Finally I got a new copy of 10.5.6 and installed it successfully in one shot, QI/CE was enabled once installation finished. I just needed to configured Ethernet driver manually.

Now it works very well, and I have shifted from Windows to OSX.
